Een piekfijne selectie Belgische jazz. De derde editie van het nomadische Motives Festival wordt een XL-versie en kiest voor De Velinx als decor. Liefst tien Belgische bands én een kindervoorstelling krijgen een volwaardige plek op het festival. Motives Festival komt uit de koker van Motives For Jazz, een organisatie die sinds 1997 zorgt voor een gevarieerd jazzgebeuren in Limburg. Motives for Jazz brengt een evenwichtige mix van toegankelijke jazz, avontuurlijke avant-garde en cross overs, met jong talent en gevestigde waarden. Motives Festival is de jaarlijkse apotheose van deze werking, die elke keer een andere boeiende locatie in de provincie aandoet. Dompel je onder in het beste dat de Belgische jazz te bieden heeft, met bijzondere aandacht voor Limburgs talent. Editie ‘26 wordt extra bijzonder door een intense samenwerking met Belgium Booms x JazzLab. Dit programma ter promotie van onze vaderlandse jazz hangt elk jaar zijn cultuurwagon aan een gerenommeerd jazzfestival en neemt met de hulp van een internationale jury vier podiumplekken voor zijn rekening. De andere acts worden ingevuld door Motives Festival en De Velinx. EN A superb selection of Belgian jazz. The third edition of the nomadic Motives Festival will be an XL version, with De Velinx serving as its venue. No fewer than ten Belgian bands, plus a children’s show, will take centre stage at the festival. Motives Festival is the brainchild of Motives For Jazz, an organisation that has been curating a diverse jazz programme in Limburg since 1997. Motives for Jazz presents a balanced mix of accessible jazz, adventurous avant-garde and crossovers, featuring both young talent and established names. Motives Festival is the annual highlight of this initiative, which visits a different fascinating location in the province each time. Immerse yourself in the best that Belgian jazz has to offer, with a special focus on Limburg talent. The ‘26 edition will be made even more special by an intense collaboration with Belgium Booms x JazzLab. This programme, designed to promote our national jazz, attaches its cultural programme to a renowned jazz festival every year and, with the help of an international jury, takes care of four stage slots. The other acts will be curated by Motives Festival and De Velinx. |
